AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBDIVISION (h) OF
SECTION I OF ORDII~.'A~-~CE NUMBER 3g8 NEW
SERIES OF THE CITY_ OF BAKERSFIELD.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Subdivision (h) of Section I of Ordinance Number 3~8
New Series of the City of Bakersfield, California, entitled "AN
ORDINANCE REGULATING THE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL OF REFUSE, GARBAGE
AND RUBBISH IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD; FIXING RATES TO BE CHARGED
FOR SUCIi COLLECTION, AUTHORIZING AND PROVIDING FOR THE ENTERING INTO
OF A CONTRACT WITH SONE PERSON, FIR~, CORPORATION OR ASSOCIATION FOR
THE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL OF REFUSE, GARBAGE AND RUBBISH IN THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD, AND FIXIiqG TERNS AND CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH SUCH
CONTRACT SHALL BE LET, PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS
ORDINATTCE AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH" be and
the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
(h~ Non-Combustible Rubbish. -
The term "Non-Combustible Rubbish" shall include and be
held to mean broken crockery, broken bottles, broken brick, tin
vessels.., trim. mings from lawns and flower gardens, .ashes, tree trimmings,
natural soil, street sweepings, earth and stone, obsolete or abandoned
motor vehicles and non-combustible waste matter.
SECTION 2.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby expressly repealed.
