AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE PAY-
MENT OF JURORS SERVING IN THE POLICE
COURT 0F THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
BE IT 0RDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0F BAKERSFIELD,
as follows:
SECTION 1.
The City of Bakersfield shall pay to each Juror who is
actually sworn to try any criminal case in the Police Court of
the City of Bakersfield the sum of two dollars ($2.00) for each
day or any portion of a day during which said Juror actually serves.
SECTYON 2.
The Judge of the Police Court of the City of Bakersfield
shall, after every criminal case tried before a Jury, certify to the
Auditor of the City of Bakersfield a list of the Jurors with their
names and addresses, the number of days which theyihave served, and
.the compensation to which they are entitled by reason of such ser-
vice; whereupon the Auditor of the City of Bakersfield shall draw
his warrant to the respective jurors for the amount set 6ut in said
list.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield on the Y~
day of December, 1938, by the following vote:
