HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 486 ORDINANCE SERI .S AN ORDINANCE LEVYING UPON THE ASSESSED VALUATION OF THE TAXABLE PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD A RATE 0F TAXATION UPON EACH HUNDRED DOLLARS OF VALUA- TION FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY l, 1936, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 193V. BE IT "0RDAINED BY THE COUNCIL 0F THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, as follows: SECTION 1. That there is hereby levied a tax of ninety-four ($.94) cents on each one hundred ($100,00) dollars of the assessed valuation of all taxable property in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, for municipal expenses of the Municipal Govern- ment of said City (excepting as hereinafter mentioned) during the fiscal year beginning with the first.day of July, 1936, and ending with the thirtieth day of June, 193V. SECTION 2' That there is hereby levied a tax of twelve ($.12) cents on each one hundred ($100.00) dollars of the assessed valuation of all taxable property within the City of Bakers field, county of Kern, State of California, for Parks and Playgrounds. SECTION 3. That there is hereby levied a tax of two ($.02) cents on each one hundred ($100.00) dollars of the ~assessed valuation of all tax- able property within the boundaries of the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, as said boundaries were fixed and detez~mined on the 22nd day of March, 1923, for interest and sinking fund on 1912 Sewer Bonds. SECTION · 4. That there 'is hereby levied a tax of one ($.01) cent on each one hundred ($100.00) dollars of the assessed valuation'of all tax- able property within the boundaries of the City of Bakers field, County of Kern, State of California, as said boundaries were fixed and determined on the 22nd day of March, 1923, for interest and sink- ing fund on the i912 City Hall Bonds. SECTION 8. That' there is hereby levied a 'taX of one-half ($.008) cent on each one hundred ($100.00) dollars of the assessed valuation of all taxable property within the boundaries of the City of Bakers field, County of Kern, State of California, as said boundaries were' fixed and determined on the 22nd day Of March, 19B3, for interest and si.nking fund on the 1912 Fire Department Bonds. SECTION 6. That there is hereby levied a tax of two and one-half ($.0~-8) cents on each one hundred ($100.00) dollars of the assessed valua- tion of all taxable property within the boundaries of the City of Bakersfield, which was known'and designated as the City .of Bakers- field prior to the consolidation of said City and Town .of Kern, for interest and sinking fund on Sewer Bond Number One. ..... o0o .....
