AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION
12 OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 218
NEW SERIES OF THE CITY OF BAK-
ERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA.
BE IT 0RDAI~NED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 12 of Ordinance Number 218 New Series of the
City of Bakersfield, California, be and the same is hereby amended
to read as follows:
Section 12. ARTICLES NOT TO BE BOUGHT FROM MINORS.
It shall be unlawful for any pawn broker, secondhand
dealer, Junk dealer, or secondhand f~rniture dealer to purchase,
trade for, or receive any article or thing from any minor under
the age of eighteen (18) years; provided, however, that used
bottles, rags, and papers may be purchased from a minor under the
age of eighteen (18) years when written permission is given by the
parent or guardian of such minor.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakers field at a regular
meeting thereof held on the ~O~ay of September, 1937, by the
following vote:
