AN ORDINANCE PHOVIDING FOR TEE CODIFICATION OF ALL
ORDINANCES IN BOOK FORM AND TEE ADOPTI0i~ OF SAME
BY REFERENCE, AND PROVIDING FOR THE MANNE~ OF GIV-
ING NOTICE 0F THE PASSAGE OF 0RDINANCES.
BE IT 0RDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CI~,~ 0F BAKERSFIELD,
as follows:
SECTION 1. Notice.
Notice of every ordinance hereafter passed by the Council
of the City of Bakersfield, including emergency ordinances and ord-
inances adopting any code as hereinafter provided, shall be given
by posting a copy of such ordinance on' the bulletin board at the
City Hall of said City within fifteen (15) days after its passage.
SECTION 2. Building Codes.
Ordinances establishing regulations for the construction
of buildings, the installation of plumbing, electric wiring or
similar work, where such rtules and regulations have been printed
in book form, may be adopted in whole or in part by reference
thereto without further posting thereof; provided, however, that
not less than three copies of such code shall have been filed, for
use and examination by the public, in the office of the Clerk of
said City prior to the adoption thereof.
SECTION S. Codification of Ordinances.
Any or all ordinances now or hereafter passed by said
Council, including building codes, and which have not been repealed,
may be compiled,' revised, indexed and arranged as a comprehensive
ordinance code, and such code adopted by reference as provided in
section two hereof.
SECTION 4. Publication.
This ordinance shall be published once in the The Bakers-
field Callfornian~ a daily newspaper of general circulation, published
and circulated in said City.
SECTION S, Repeal.
Ordinance No, 114 New Series of the City of Bakersfield
and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby expressly repealed,
