SECTION 2.
That Section 12 of Ordinance I.to. 155 New Series is hereby
amended to read as follows:
SECT!0i! 12.
It shall be mlawful to erect, stretch, su. spend or display
or ca~.se to be erected, stretched, suspended or displayed, any
advertisement, sign or banner which extends over or across any
street or alley.
However, nothing contained in this ord!na~.~.ce shall be
construed as prohibitin[.: the use of decorations or~mporary
banners used during a t!r~e of [eneral celebration, for a period
not to exceed fifteen (15) days, when a permit for t~e use of
such decorations or temporsr~ banners is [ranted by the City
1,ganager and a permit obtained from the Building Inspector, after
such grant by the City I..ianajer. -
