as follows:
SECTION 1.
The Council of the City of Bakersfield hereby grants to
the Southern Pacific Company, a corporation organized and incorporated
under the laws of the State of ~entuctoj, its successors and assigns,
a permit to lay down, construct, maintain and operate a railroad
track of standard gauSe across 30th Street, located in the City of
Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, for the purpose of
serviDg McCarthy Tank and Equipment Company with a railroad. track,
the particular description of said railroad track necessary for the
purpose as aforesaid being as follows:
Description of center line of
track to be constructed.
Cor, mencin~ at a point on the south line of 30th
Street, produced, distant 132 feet, more or less,
west of west line of Jewett Avenue as shown on
the official map of the City of Bakersfield.;
thence northwesterly along a curve concave north-
easterly and. havinG a radius of 286.84 feet
an arc distance of 90 feet, mors or less, to a
point in the north line of said 30th Street
distant 162 feet, more or less, fro~ said west
line of Jewett Avenue.
SECTI ON 2.
That ssid permit and privilege is gTsnted subject:
(a) To such regulations and conditions as _~ay be prescribed
from time to time by the Cotmcil of the City of Bakers field.
(b) To the use of said railroad track for the transportation
of freight for hire.

(c) That said railroad track must be lsid to conform to
the grade of the street over v:l~ich it Leassos. and the work must be
done to tl~e satisfaction of the City ',.,~n~'ineer of the City of !~a]~ers-
field, and must bs kept and ~:aintair, ed in 3-ood condition and repair
to the satisfaction of said City Engineer.
(d) That it .~.ust be oDere. ted under such restrictions as
not to .!~terfere nith tbs use of ~aid street by the public.
(e) Tb~t this permit shall be revocable e~ t!-..o pleas'~re
of tbe City Council of the City of Bakersfield. e. nd
