AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AI~NDiNG SECTION I OF ORDIN-
ANCE N0. 545 NEW SERIES OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide for the daily operation
of a municipal department, and to provide for adequate salary for the
work to be performed by the Assistant City Attorney and the Deputy
City Attorney,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT 0RDAIE~D BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Subdivision 24 of Section i of Ordinance No. 545 New
Series of the City of Bakersfield entitled "AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE
COMPENSATION OF CERTAIN OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF BAKERS-
FIELD AND REPEALING ORDINANCE ErU~ER 517 NEW SERIES OF THE CITY OF
B~GERSFIELD AND ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES AR~NDATORY
THEREOF OR IN CONFLICT HEREWITH" be and the same is hereby amended
to read as follows:
24. ASSISTANT CITY ATTORNEY.. ..... ......... .... .. ........ .$250.00
SECTION 2.
That a subdivision to be known as Subdivision 56 be added
to Section I of Ordinance No. 545 New Series, to read as follows:
56. DEPUTY CITY ATTORNEY ..................... ... ........ ..$100.00
SECTION S-
This ordinance is designed to provide for the daily operation
of a municipal department, and is hereby declared to be an emergency
measure and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage°
