AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 502
NEW SERIES OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
REPEALING SECTION 42 THEREOF, RELATING
TO PARKING METERS.
BE IT 0RDAINED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF BEERSFIELD,
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Ordinance No. 502 New Series of the City of Bakers-
field, California, entitled "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING TRAFFIC UPON THE
PUBLIC STREETS OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
INCONSISTENT HEREWITH" be and the same is hereby amended by repealing
Section 42 thereof, relating to parking meters.

I, V. VAN RIPER, City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield,
do hereby certify as follows:
That the above ordinance, designated as Ordinance No. 574
New Series, of the City of Bakersfield, was submitted to the voters
of said City at a regular election held in said City on the 18th day
of March, 1941, upon a motion of the City Council of said City, and
that thereafter on the 20th day of March, 1941, said Council at a
Special Meeting canvassed the votes cast for and against said ordin-
ance, and declared the same carried by the following vote: YES -
4389 votes; NO - 1160 votes.
