AN E~]ERGENCY ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDIN-
ANCE RrU~BER 5?7 NEW SERIES OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the COuncil of the City of Bakersfield hereby declares
that certain sections of Ordinance Number 577 New Series of the City
of Bakersfield, are not, in its opinion, conducive to the immediate
preservation of the public peace, property, safety and welfare,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT 0RDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Ordinance Number 577 New Series of the City of Bakers-
field, entitled "AN ORDINANCE CREATING A ivIAjOR DISASTER E~ERGENCY
AND CIVIL DEFENSECOUNCIL AND PRESCRIBING ITS POV~RS AND DUTIES."
be and the same is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure
within the meaning of Section 25 of the Charter of the City of Bakers-
field, State of California, and necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public peace, property, safety and welfare, and shall take
effect immediately upon its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Emergency Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at a
regular meeting thereof held upon the ---_ day of December, 19~l, by
