SECTION 1.
That a contract is hzreby authorized betv;een the Council
of the City of Bakersfield s.~ the Board of Administration, C~if-
or~a State ~nployees' 2{etirement System, a copy of said contract
being attached hereto marked E~hibit "~" c. nd by such reference
made a part hereof as though heroin set out in f~l.
8~CTION 2.
The lfayor of the City of Bakersfield is hereby authorized,
empovered, and directed to execute said contract for end on behalf
of said City.
S~CTIOi.~ 3.
This ordinance sh~.ll talne effect six days after the date
of its adoption, ~nd prior to the expiration of six days from the
p~ssage thereof shall be published at least once in the ~akersfield
Californian, a nevspapor of general circ~ation~ published
circ~ated in the ~ity of B&l:ersfield, and thenceforth and there-
after the same shall be in ~l force and effect.
