AND ADDING SECTION 18a THERETO AND REPEAL-

CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA.
'BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
as follows =
SECTION. 1.
That Section 1 of Emergency Ordinance No. 618 New Series
of the City of Bakersfield, entitled "AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE
REGULATING AND IMPOSING MUNICIPAL LICENBES; DESCRIBING HOW AND
BY WHOM LICENSES AND [FARMITS SHALL HE OBTAINED~ MAKING A VIOLATION
~-~EOF A MISD~.Nm~NOR, AND PRESCRIBING A PgNALTY THEREFOR, AND
Pm-ALING ORDINANCE NO. g12 NIl# SERIES AND ALL AMEND~.NTS TPn~.RETO,
AND ALL OT~E-R ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE-
WITH" be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows=
SECTION 1. DUTY OF LICENSE COLLECTORa
It shall be the duty of the License Collector of the City
of Bakersfield to execute all licenses provided for herein upon
the payment to him of the license fees as are hereinafter mentioned;
provided that no license shall be issued for any business$ trade,
calli~ or profession for which a permit is required, until such
permit shakl have first been granted, provided, however, that no.
permit shall be required on the renewal of any license eicept where
specifically required by ordinance.
It shall be the duty of the License Oollector to comply with
all of the provisions of this ordinance as the same is now or may
hares[fret be amended.
SECTION 2.
That Section 13 of Emergency Ordinance No. 618 New Series,
be and the same is amended to read as follows a
SECTION 13- RENEWAL OF LICENSE:

All persons, firms or corporations to whom licenses have been
issued ~.aer the provisions of this ordinancet arc1 who desire upon
the expiration of the period for which such license has been granted
to have the same renewedt shall upon the expiration as aforesaid
· ]~ecure a new license In place of the license held by them which has
.~:. expired~ bY applyi~ to the License Collector and paying the amount
required~ and maklng such statement as may be required under this
ordinance,
SECTION 3 ·
That Emergency Ordinance No. 618 New Serles ls hereby amended
by addl~ thereto a sectlon to be known as Sectlon 18at whlch
shall read as ~ollowsa
SECTION 18a. PERMITS REQUIRED~
No license for ar~V business for the sale~ handling or storage
of food or drink for human consumption~ whether from an established
place of businesst vehiclet or otherwise~ shall be issueds and no
transfer of any such license shall be effected~ until a permit is
granted by the City Manager.
SECTION 4.
Ordinance No. 1~9 New Series and all other ordinances or
" parts of ordinances in conflict hereWith~ are hereby expressly
repealed.
