DE IT Oi~AIi~ ~]Y T~ COUNCIL OF T~ CITY OF B~RSFI~D~ as
follows:
That there is hereby provided for the employees of the City of
~akersfield as set forth and classified in Section 3 of Emergency
Ordinance I~o. 643 ije~; ~eries~ extra compensation of ten and one-h~f
(1G~-) cents per hour for each hour worked~ to be paid to such employees
for the d~ation of the present war between the United States of ~erica
and Ger~ it~y and Japan~ and for a period of six months thereafter~
said extra compensation to be in addition to the compensation provided
for by the reg~ar basic hourly wage rate set forth in ~ection 3 of
Emergency Ordi~nce No. 643 i'~'eT~ Series.
~ECTION 2.
This ordi~nce shall remain in f~l ibrce and effect for the
duration of the war between the U~ted ~tates ef America and German,
Italy~ Japan~ or either or ~1 of them~ and so long as a state of war
exists between the b'nited ~tates a~ a~ other nation or ~tions~ and
for a period of six months thereafter.
