GEIqCY ORDINANCE NO. 66~ NEW SERIES OF
TRm. CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA.
VfHEFd~AS, the City Council hereby declares that an emergency
exists making it necessary to provide for the daily operation of a
municipal department, to-wit: That it is necessary to make certain
changes in the ordinance governing the collection of licenses in
the City of Bakersfield by the License Collector,
NC%V, THEREFORE, BE IT 0RDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAI~.RSFI~.T.D, as follows:
Section 1.
That Emergency Ordinance No. 66~ New Series of the City of
Bakersfield, entitled: "AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE REGULATING AND
IMPOSING M~I~ICIPAL LICEi~SES; DE~C~IBIi~G HOiV Ai~D BY ~.~tOM LICEI~SES
AA~D PERMITS SHALL RE OBT.AII~ED; MAKIIqG A VIOLATI0iq t~]~EOF A MIS-

the same is hereby repealed, to take effect at midnight on the
31st day of December, 1944.
Section 2.
This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency
measure within the meaning of Section 24 of the Charter of the
City of Bakersfield, State of California, and necessary to provide
for the daily operation of a municipal department, and shall take
effect at midnight on the 31st day of December, 1944.

was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at
