AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE REPEALING THE LAST PARA-
GRAPH OF SECTION 24 OF ELECTRICAL ORDINANCE
NO. 299 ~EW SERIES OF TEE CITY OF B. AXERSFIELD,
CALIFORNIA.
w..:~u.:AS, the health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the
City of Bakersfield requires the passage of an ordinance pertaining
to the Electrical Ordinance of said City.
NCW, THFaEFORE, BE IT 0RDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERS-
FIELD, as follows.'
SECTION 1.
That the last paragraph of Section 24 of the Electrical Ordinance
No. 299 New Series, to wit: "The use of armored cable will be approved
where it is impracticable to install rigid conduit, but in D~ case
shall it be used for power installations or services", be and the
same is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure within
the meaning of Section 24 of the Charter of the City of Bakersfield,
State of California, and necessary for the immediate preservation of
the public property, safety and welfare, and shall take effect im-
mediately upon its passage.

meeting thereof held on the 13th day of August, 1945, by the followiD~
