AN ORDINANCE LEVYING~, ~'.TEE .ASSESSED VALUATION
OF THE TAXABLE PRO~~I~' THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
A RATE OF TkXATION UPON EACH ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS
OF ~AL~ATION FOR THE FISCAL YEAR' BEGII~NING J~LY 1,
194~ AND E~)ING JUNE 30, 1946.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF B.&KERSFIELD~ as follows:
SECTION 1.
That there is hereby levied a tax of ninety and one-half cents
($-90~) on each one hundred dollars'($100.O0) of the assessed valuation
of all taxable property in the City of Bakersfield~ County of Kern~
State of California~ for municipal expenses of the Nunicipal Government
of said City (excepting as hereinafter mentioned) durimg thee fiscal
year 'beginning with the first day of July, 194~, and ending with the
thirtieth day of June, 1946.
SECTION 2.
That there is hereby levied a tax of thirteen and one'half cents
($.135) on each one hundred dollars ($100.00) of the assessed valuation
of all taxable property within the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern,
State of Californian'for Parks and Playgrounds during the fiscal year
beginning with the first day of July, 194%, and ending with the thirtieth
day of June~ 1946.
SECTION 3.
That there is hereby levied a tax of seven cents ($.07) on each
one hundred dollars ($100.00) of the assessed valuation of all taxable
property within the City of Bakersfield, County Of Kern~ State of
California, for repairs and maintenance of sewers and storm drains
and operation of Sewage Treatment Plant~ during the fiscal year beginning
with the first day of July~ 194~ and ending with the thirtieth day of
June, 1946.
SECTION 4.
That there is hereby levied a tax of five cents ($.O~)"0n each one
hundred dollars ($100.00) of the assessed valuation of all taxable
property in the City of Bakersfield~ County of Kern, State of California,
for Ithe contribution of the CityiI~.Qf ~kersfield to the Firemen's
Disa~ility and Retirement Fund during the fiscal year b.eginning with
the first day of July, 195%, and endi.ng with the thirtieth day of June,
1946. ~'
SECTION ~. ~I
That there is hereby ~levied a tax of eight cents ~($.081]~ on each
one hundred dollars ($100.00) of the assessed valuation of all taxable
property~ in the City of Bakersfield, CoUnty of Kern,,~State of California,
for the contribution of the City of Bakersfield tO~... the California State
Employees' Retirement' System during the fiscalTM year begi~ng with the
first day of July, 19~%, and ending with the thirtieth day of June, 1946.
SECT 0N 6.
That.th-ere is hereby levied a tax of fifteen cents ($.15) on each
one hundred dollars ($100.00) of the assessed valuatio~ of all taxable
property in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California,
for collection and disposal of Refuse during the fiscal year beginning
with the first day of July, 194~, and ending with the thirtieth day
of June, 1946.
SECTION 7-
That there is hereby leviedna tax Of one and one-half cents ($.015)
on each one hundred dollars ($100.00) of the assessed valuation of all
taxable property within the boundaries of the City of Bakersfield,
County of. Kern~ State of California, as said boundaries were fixed and
determined on the 22nd day of ~arch, 1923, for interest and sin_king
fund on 1912 Sewer Bonds during the fiscal year beginning with the
first day of July, 194~, and ending with the thirtieth day of June, 1946.
SECTION 8.
That there is hereby levied a tax of one cent ($.01) on each one
hu~ndred'-dollarS ($100.O0).of the assessed valuation o'f all taxable
property within the boundaries of the City of Bakersfield, County of
Kern, State'of California, as said boundaries were fixed and determined
on the 22nd day of March, 1923, for interest and sinking fund on the
1912 City Hall Bonds during th~isc~l year beginning witb the first
day of July, 1945, and ending ~ith the thirtieth day of June, 1946.
SECTION 9-
That there is hereby levied a tax of one-half'cent ($.005) on each
one hundred-dollars ($100 00) of the ~assessed valuation. of all taxable
property withi~he boundaries of the City of Bakersfield, County of
Kern'i State of California, as said boundarie~ .~e~e fixed and determined
on the 22nd day-of. Narch~ 1923~ for interest"~and sinking fund on the
1912 Fire Department Bonds during the fiscal yea? beginn~ing with the
first day of July~ 1945~ and ending with the thirtieths'day of June~ 1946.
SECTION 10.
That there is hereby levied a tax of one,half cent ($.00~) on each
one hundred dollars ($100.00) of the.assessed valuation~f all taxable
property'within the boundaries of the City of Bakersfield, County of
Kern, State of California, as said boundaries were fixed and determined
on 'the 22nd day of Narch,"1923, for interest and sinking fund on the
1912 Library Bonds during the' fiscal year beginning with the first day
of July', 1945, and ending with the thirtieth day of June, 1946.
SECTION ll.
That there is hereby levied a tax of one-half cent ($'005) on each
one hundred dollars ($100.O0) of the assessed valuation of all taxable
.property within the.boundaries Of the. City of BakerSfield~ which was
known and designated as the City of Bakersfield prior to the consolida-
tion of said City and Town of Kern, for interest and sinking fund on
Sewer Bond Number One~ ·during the fiscal year beginning with the first
day of July, 1945, andsending with the thirtieth day of June, 1946.
