That Section 4 of Ordinance No. 716 New Series of the · ' City of Bakersfield~ be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows I Section 4. The taxes imposed by this ordinance are due add payable to the Treasurer and Tax Collector of the City of Bakers- field on or before the last day of the month next succeedin~ each quarterly period. SECTION 2. That Section 8 of Ordinance No. 716 New Series of the City of Bakersfield~ be and the same is hereby amended to read as ". follows: Section 8. Every person deslrin~ to en~age in or conduct business as a seller within the City of Bakersfield shall secure from the Treasurer of Said City a permit for each place of busi~ess. Such permits shall be issued by the Treasurer upon receipt of a written application therefor~ settin~ forth the name under which the appli- cant transacts or intends to transact business~ the location of his place or'places of business and such other ~nformation as the Treasurer may require. The application shall be signed by the owner if a D~tu~al person; in the case Of an association or partnersh~p~ by a member or partners in the case off a corporation, by an executive officer or some person specifflcally authorized'by the corporation to sign the application.
