.AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBDIVI-
SION. 48 OF SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. ?00
NEW SERIES OF THE CITY OF B.AKERSFIE~.D.
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby declares that an emergency
exists making it necessary to provide for the daily operation of
a municipal department.
NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCI~ OF THE CITY OF
B.AKERSFI~D~ as follows:
SECT I0N 1.
That Subdivision 48 of Section 1 of Emergency Ordinance No.?O0
New Series, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
48. CITY MANAGER . . . . . . . . . . ..... · $7%0.00
SECTION 2.
The provisions of Emergency Ordinance No. 728 New Series and
Emergency Ordinance No. 742 New Series, which ordinances provide
for additional compensation to be paid to each officer and employee
of the City of Bakersfield, shall have no application to the City
Manager.
SECTION 3.
This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure
within the meaning of Section 24 of the Charter of the City of Bakers-
field, State of California~ and necessary to provide for the daily
operation of a municipal department~ and. shall be effective on and
I HEB~.RY CERTIFY that the foregoing Emergency Ordinance
was passed and .adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 28th day of ~uly.~ 19¢?~
