That Section 2 of ~ergency 0rdi~nce No. ?00~ New Series
of the City of Bakersfield is hereby ~ended by addl~ thereto a new
subdivision, to be n~bered 28~ said subdivision to read as f~lows:

SECTION 2.
The provisions of ~ergency 0rdl~nce No. ~28 New Series
a~ ~ergency 0rdl~nce No. 763 New Series, which ordi~ces provide
for additio~ compensation to be paid to each officer a~ em~oyee
of the City of Bakersfield~ s~l ~ve ~ ap~ication to find labor.

This ordi~e is hereby de~ared to be an emergency measure
withl~ the mea~ of Section 24 of the C~rter of the City of Ba~ers-
fi~d~ State of C~ifor~a~ a~ necessary to provide for the davy
operation of a m~icip~ department, a~ sh~l take effect i~ediat~y
upon its passage by the Co~c~ of the City of Bakersfield.
I HF~ERY CERTI~ that the foregoing Emergency Ordinance
was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 12th day of ~anuary~ 1948~
