TO A. NEW SUBDIVISION TO BE NUMBERED

making it necessary to provide for the daily operation of a munici-
pal department.'

SECTION 1.
" Subdivision 28 of Section 1 of Emergency Ordinance No. ?00
New Series of the City of Bakersfield is hereby amended to read as
follows:

SECTION 2.
Section 1 of Emergency Ordinance No. 700 New Series of the
City of Bakersfield is hereby amended by adding thereto a m~w sub-
division to be numbered 47.2, said subdivision to read as follows:
47.2 PURCHASING AGENT.....250 26% 280 295 310 325 340
SECTION 3.
In addition to the compensation provided in Sectionsl and
2 hereof, the Field Accountant and Purchasing Agent shall receive
the compensation provided in Emergency 0rdin~nce No. ?28 New Series
and Ordinance No. ?63 New Series of the City of Bakersfield.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure
within the meaning of Sectlo~ 24 of the Charter of the City of Bakers-
field, State of'California~ a~i necessary for the daily operation
'of municipal departments, and shall take effect ~mmedlately upon 'its
passage by the Council of the City of Bakersfield.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoim~'Emergency Ordinance
was passed am~.adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
at a regular meeting thereo~ held on the 8th day of March, 1948,
by the following voter
