WH~AS, the City Council declares that an emergency exists
makiD~ it necessary to provide for the daily operation of a munici-
pal department,
NOW, TBEREFORE~ BE IT ORD. AII~D BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 1 of Emergency Ordinance No. 700~ New Series of the
City of Bakersfield is hereby amended by adding thereto three new
subdivisions to be numbered 47.3, 47.4 and 47.5, said subdivisions
to read as follows:
47.3 ACCOUNTANT.......... 260 275 290 305 320 335 350.
47.4 .AUDIT CLERK ........ 175 185 195 210 225 240 255
47.5 BOOKKEEPING MACHINE
OPERATOR ......... 160 170 180 190 200 210 220
SECTION 2.
In addition to the compensation provided in Section 1 hereof,
said accountant, audit clerk and bookkeeping machine operator shall
receive the compensation provided in Emergency Ordinance No. 728 New
S~zies and Ordinance No. 763 New Series of the City of Bakersfield.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure
within the meaning of Section 24 of the Charter of the City of Bakers-
field, State of California, and necessary for the daily operation
of a munieipal department, and shall take effect immediately upon

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ~m~gency Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 14th day of June~ 1948, by the
following vote:
