~E-iEREAS, the City Council hereby declares that an emergency
exists making it necessary to provide for the daily operation of a
municipal department ~
NO'~, THEREFORE, BE IT 0RD.~I."~D by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield~ s.s follows:
SECTION 1.
Effective September l~ 19$J~ the compensation of the Police
Judge of the City of Bakersfield is hereby fixed at three hundred
eighty-five dollars (~.~38).00) per month.

This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency
measure within the ~eaning of Section 25 of the Charter of the City
of Bakersfield~ State of California~ and necessary to provide for the
daily operation of municipal departments and shall be effective on
and after September l, .1958.

I IIEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 7th'day of September~ 1958, by the
following vote:
