WHEB~S, no written protests were filed against the proposed
annexation by ar~ owner of property within the territory proposed
to be annexed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield, as follows~
That the Council of 'the. City of Bakersfield hereby approves
the annexation and inclusion within the incorporated limits of the
City of Bakersfield~ of that certain unirg~abited territory desig-
nated as all that portion of the easterly half of Block C of Greene's
Tract that lies south of and adjacent to the southerly City Limits
of the City of'Bakersfield, being more particularly described as
follows:
In general all that portion of the easterly half
of Greene'~ Tract that lies south of and adjacent ~ Block '~C

erly City.Limits of the City of Bakersfiel~ d, Ca~ifor-~a; the
boundary of which area is more particularly-described as follows~ ·
Beginning at the point of intersection of the easterly line of
Block C.of Greene's Tract as the' same is shown on the map of
said Tract recorded on page 97 of Map Book No. 1 of the Of-
ficial Records in the office of the. County Recorder of Kern
County, California, with the southerly bo,,~ary, line of the
corporation limits of the City of Bakersfield; thence southerly
along the easterly line of said Block C to its point of inter-
section with the northerly line of Brundage Lane; thence west-
erly along the northerly line of Brundage Lane to its point
of intersection with the westerly, line of Lot ? in said Block
C; thence northerly along the line formi~ the westerly boundary
of Lot' ? and of Lot 2 in said Block C to its point of inter-
section with said southerly boundary line of the corporation
limits of the City of Bakersfield; thence easterly along said
corporation limits to its point of intersection with the east-
erly line of said Block C am~ point of beginnim~g; containing
14.97 acres of land more or less.
