ADOPTED BY SECTION 2.1 OF ZONING 0RDI-
NANCE NO. 501~ NE?~ SERIES OF THE CITY
OF BAEERSFIE~.D ~ CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure specified by
the provisions of Zoning Ordinance No. 501, New Series, the Plan-
ning Commission and Cit. y Council have held hearings on a petitio~
to charade the "District Map" adopted by Section 2.1 of said
ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due Con-
sideration that certain changes in said Map should be authorized·
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED .BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAEERSFIEV.D, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That the District Map, made a part of Zonim~ Ordinance.
No. 501 New Series, be amended by changing the district boundaries
so as to include the territory included within the following described
boundaries in an R-1 (one-family residential) District:
Beginnir~g at the northeast corner of the alley entrance~ .
said alley located on 30th Street, between Spruce and Pine
Streets, thence southeasterly along the north line .of 30th
Street a distance of 510' feet to the west bo.undary of Block
2 of Tract 1572 and continuing a distance of 170 feet; thence
northeasterly and parallel to the west boum~ary of said Block
2 of Tract 1572 a distance of 130 feet; thence northwesterly
and Darallel to the north line of ~0th street a distance
of 560 feet to the easterly line of said alley; thence south-
westerly along the easterly line of said alley.to the point
of' beginning.
SECTION 2.
That the District Map~ made a part of Zoning 0rdinauce No. 501
New Series, be amended by changing the district boundaries so as to
include the following described territory in an R-1 (one-family
residential) District:
Lots 1 through 20 in Block 3, .Lots 1'5 through 25 in Block 5,
Lots 17 through 20 in Block 7, Lots 1 and 2 in Block 8~ all
in Tract 1572.
SECTION 3.
That the District 'Nap~ made a part of Zoning Ordinance
No. ~01 New Series, be amended by changing the district boundaries
so as to include the following described territory in an R-2 (tw.o-
family resldential) District:
Lots 3 through 12 in Block 8 of' Tract 1472.
SECTION 4.
That the District Map%~ made a part of Zoning Ordinance
.' No. ~01 New Series, be 'amended by changing the district boundaries
so as to include the following described territory in a C-1 (Retail
Business) District:
.~ll of Blocks 2~ 4 and ? of Tract 1472~ excepting those
portions included.in an R-1 (one-family residential) Dist-
rict by the provisions of Sections i and 2 of this ordinance.
SECTION ~.
That the District Nap.~ made a part of Zoning Ordinance
No. ~O1 New Series~ be amended by changing the district boundaries
so as to include 'the following described territory in a C-1 (Retail
Business) District:
All that territory bounded on the north by 26th S..tneet,
on the east by F Street, on the south by 24th Street and
on the west by Drake Street.
SECTION 6.
All of the for. egol~ described lands are portions of
Westchester Tract No. 1472~ City of Bakersfield, Kern County~ Cali-
fornia, as shown on the map of said Tract recorded in Nap Book 6
page 193~ Records of Kern county~ California.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoi~ Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of BAkersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 1st day of August~ 1959~ by the follow-
