AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OP BAKERSFIELD
ALTERING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE SEVENTH
WARD TO INCLUDE RECENTLY ANNEX"ED TERRITORY.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provision~ of the Annexation Act of
1915, Deering's General Laws Act 5159, certain inhabited territory
designated as Dobrusky Square Distri.ct and hereinafter more particu-
larly described, was annexed to, incorporated in and made a part
of the City of Bakersfield, and
WHEREAS, said Act requires that the City Council, by ordinance,
include said annexed territory in one or more wards of the city, and
WHEREAS, said annexed territory is adjacent to the seventh ward.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CItY OF
BAKERSFIELD, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That the territory included within the boundaries hereinbelow
described be and the same is hereby made a part of the seventh ward,
and the boundaries of said seventh ward be and the sam~ are hereby
altered to include said territory:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the northerly line of
Terrace Way with the easterly boundary line of the Virginia
Tract as said Way and Tract are shown on the Map of the Virginia
Tract, record6d in Map Book No. 5, page 70, Official Records of
Kern County, California, said point of intersection, being a
southeasterly corner of'the corporate limits of the City of
Bakersfield, California; thence northerly along the said east-
erly boundary line of the Virginia Tract and the northerly pro-
longation thereof, said easterly boundary line and prolongation
being a portion of the corporate limits of said City, to its
intersection with the northerly line of Brundage Lane; thence
easterly along the northerly line of Brundage Lane, said northerly
line being a portion of the corporate limits of said City, to
its intersection with the northerly prolongation of the easterly
line of Tract No. 1061 as per Map of said Tract recorded in Map
Book 4, page 115 Official Records of Kern County, California;
thence southerly along said prolongation of and the easterly
line of'said T'Pact No. 1061' to the southeasterly co,her of said
Tract; said corner being on the northerly line of Lot 12 in Sec-
tion 6, T. 50 S., R. 28 E., M. 'D. B. & M., as said lot is shown
on "Kern County Sales Map 'No. 1 of Lands of J. B. Haggin," filed
for record in the Office of the County Recorder of Kern County,
California, May 5, 1889; thence southerly, parallel with the westerly

line of said Lot 12, to a point of intersection with.the northerly
line of a 60 foot wide road along the southerly side of said
Lot 12,. said road being known as Terrace Way, hereinbefore men-
tioned; thence westerly along the northerly line of said Terrace
Way to its point of intersection with the hereinbefore mentioned
easterly boundary line of the Virginia Tract and place of beSnntng
of this description, containing 2~.24 acres of land, more or less.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meet-
lng thereof held on the /~ day of December, 1949, by the following
