WHEREAS', .the City Council hereby declares that an emergency
exists making it necessary to provide for the daily .operation of a
municipal department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT 0RDAI~D by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:

That subsection (b) of.Section 3 of Emergency Ordinance No.
795 New Series of the City of Bakersfield be and the same is hereby
amended by adding ni'ne schedule numbers with accompanying salary

3~ Fire Chief
SECTION 3.
That subsection (c) of Section 9 of Emergency Ordinance
No. 794 New Series be and the same is hereby amended by deleting
the class entitled "Fire Chief" with accompanying .salary.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure
within the meaning of Section 24 of the Charter of the City of
Bakersfield~ State of California, and necessary to provide for the.
daily operation of a municipal department, and shall be effective
on and after March 1, 19%0.
I HEB~Y CERTIFY that the foregoing Emergency Ordinance
was passed and adopte~ by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 27th day of February, 19%0~
