AN ORDINANCE DECLARING EVERY SATURDAY A
HOLIDAY AS RESPECTS THE TRANSACTION OF
BUSINESS IN THE PUBLIC OFFICES OF TBE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, as
follows:
SECTION 1..
That every Saturday is and shall be a holiday as respects the
transaction of business in the public offices of the City of
Bakersfield.
SECTION 2.
The above section shall have no application to the Police and
Fire Departments. The aforementioned departments shall remain
open at all times fop the perfor~nance of essential public services.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 19th day of June, 19§0~ by the following
voter
