AN ORDINANCE APPROVING ANNEXATION''
OF A .PARCEL 'OF INHABITED TERRITORY
TO THE CITY OF ~ .AKERSFIELD~ CALIFORNIA..
WHEREAS~ a petition was filed with the Coun6il of the City
ef Bakersfiel~, .on the 20th day of Narch~ 1.9~0, requesting that
certain inhabited territory hereinbelow described"be annexed to,'
incorporated.a~ included within the corporate limits of tho'.city
'of Bakersfield, said petition having been signed 'by not less than
one-foUrth (1/4) in number of the qualified electors residing in
· .said territory se proposed to be annexed, as shown by 'the registra-
tion of voters Of. the County of Kern., and · '
· ..WHEREAS, on .March 27, 19%0, the Council of the City of Bakers-
field .passed and.adopted a Resolution. of Intention to call a special
.. election to submit the question of the annexation of said territory
tO the electors' residing therein~ and setting forth a time and place
of heari~ protests against said proposed annexations, and
.: WBEREAS~ a hearilng was held by the City.Council. at' the time and
· place fixed by the aforesaid Resolution of Intention~ and at .said hear-'
lng'it.was' found and determined by said City Council that. w~ltten
protests .were. no~ made by the owners of a majority of the separate
parcels within the territory so proposed to be annexed~ and
WN~tEAS, on 'April .17~. 19~0~ said City Council passed and adopted
a resolution, calling a special election to be held on .the' 13th day
of .~une'~ 1950~ for. the purpose of voting on the proposition to annex
said' terrlto,ry to the City of Bakersfield, and. said election was
held on' the date fixed, in said res01ution~ and

on the question of such annexation were in favor of annexation~ and

for the annexation of said territory'to the City of Bakersfield

SECTION l.
That 'the Council of the City of Bakersfield hereby· approves
the annexation and inclusion within the .incorporated .limits of the
