PARCEL OF UNII~-I&BITED TERRITORY TO
CITY OF B~Y~ERSFIELD ~ CALIFORNIA.
%'~[EREaS~ a petition was filed with the Council of She City of
Bakersfield on the 24th day, of august~ 19~0e requesting that certain
uninhabited territory therein described be annexed to and included
within the incorpor,ated limits of. the City of Bakersfield~ and
t'~REAS~ said petition was signed by the owners of one-fourth
of the land~ by area~ and by assessed value as shown on the last
equalized assessment roll of the County of Kern~ ar~
V,~E&S~ the territory described in said petition is contiguous
to the City of Bakersfield~ ampi
V~'/~REAS~' the Council of the City of Bakersfield did~ on the
28th day of &ugust~ 19%0~ pass a resolution in compliance with the
provisions of the annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939~
being Title 4~ Division 2~ Part 2~ 'Chapter l~ article % of the Govern~
ment Code of the State Of California, specifically describir~ the
boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of
Bakersfield~ and designating such territory by an appropriate identi-
fication~ and setting Nonday~ September 18~ 19~0~ at the hour of eight
o'clock PoMo~ at the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City
of Bakersfield~ State of Califorr~ta, as the day~ hour and place when
and where any person o~mim~ real property v~'ithin such territory so
proposed to be annexed and having any'objections to the proposed
annexation may appear bofore the legislative body and show cause
such territory should not be so annexed$
WHEREdS~ said resolution was published fo," at least once a
week for two successive weeks prior to said hearing, in the Bakersfield
Californian~ a' newspaper of general circulation published in the City
of. Bakersfield~ the .municipal c'orporation to which it is proposed to

annex such' territory ~ and
?~EREAS~ no ~itten protests were 'filed. against .the. proposed
annexation by any owner of property within the territory proposed
to be annexed°

Bakersfield~ as follows~

.... That the Council of the City of Bakersfield hereby approves
the annexation and inclusion within' the' incorporated limits of the
City of Bakersfield~ of t.hat certain ~%_~mhabited territory designated
as Cedar Gardens No. 2~ being situ~te in Section 36~ T 29 S~ R 27
