AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBDIVISION .(a)

WHEREAS, an emergency exists. making its necessary .to -provide ,7

SECTION 1.
That subdivision (a) of Section 8 of Ordinance No. 879, New .. . '
Series of the City of Bakersfield be and the same'-is hereby amended
by changing the schedule numbers of several classifications, all of .
which said classifications shall be respectively placed in schedules
as follows:

This ordinance is hereby declared to. be an emergency measure
within the meaning of Section 24 of the Charter of the City of Bakers-
field, -State of California-, and necessary to provide for the daily
operation of municipal departments, 'and shall be effActive on and
after the 15th day of October, 1955.

I.-HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Emergency Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the loth day of .October, 1955, by
