AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING A PRIMA FACIE SPEED
LIMIT OF 3~ MILES PER HOUR ON A PORTION OF

SOUTH H STREET IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD. ."~ ....
WHER]MS, the Council cf the City of Bakersfield., pursuant
to the provisions of Section 511.3 (a) of the Vehicle Code of the..State
of California, has determined, upon the basis of an engineering and
traffic survey, that a speed groater than 25 miles per hour, to wit:
35 miles per hour, would facilitate the orderly movement of vehicular
traffic and would be reasonable and-safe upon that.portion of South
H Street between Ter~,ace t~y and iiing Road, which said portion is
otherwise subject to a p~:ima facie limit of 25 miles per hour.
N0%'4 TMEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
· That a prima £a~i.~ ~pe~d of 35 miles per hour be ~nd the same
is hereby dstermined and dc~!a:3od to be the prima facie speed at which
vehicles may t:~avel on South II Street between the southorly line of
Terrace Way a~d the northc3J, ly line of Ming Road.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance ~ba~! take effect thirty days from and after
the.dato of its passage.
