· BE iT ORDAINED by the Council of 'the City' of Bakersfield,
as f'Ollows:
SEOTION 1. '"
That Ordinance No. 658, New Series of the City of ·Bakers·-'-·
field be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto a new
section to be r_umbered 75, which said section shall read ~s follows: ".
" Section 75. P..~3/{ING PROHIBITED ON A PORTION OF GOLDEN.' STATE
HIGHWAY' (U.S. Highway 99) BETI~EEN N AND 0 STREETS. (a) when app.~Op-
riate signs are posted, no person shall stop, park, or leave s.tanding
any vehicle whether attended or unattended, except when necessary. '..
to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the direc'
tions of a peace officer or traffic control'signal device, on'the

(b) The provisions of this section shall not apply to the

SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall cease to be operative six' months after
receipt by the City 0o~mcil of written notice of ·withdrawal of approval.'

SECTION 3 ·
This ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after
the date o.f its passage.
