AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2, 3 and 4 OF -.~ '.~'
ORDINANCE N~. 891, NEW SERIES OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD TO PERMIT (~FFICERS AND EMPLOYEES
OF SAID CITY TO AUTHORIZE DEDUCTIONS FROM
THEIR SALARIES OR WAGES FOR C~'NTRIBUTIONS TO
"AID".
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, as
follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 2 of Ordinance No, 891, New Series of.' the City
of Bakersfield:be, and the same is hereby ammnded to read Ks follows:
Section 2: 0ff~.cers and employees of the City of Bakersfield
may authorize deductions to be made from their salaries or wages'foP
contributions 'bo "AID", United Givers.
SECTION 2.
That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 891, New Series of ?the City
of Bakersfield be, and the same is hereby amended to read "'~ follows:
Section 3. Any officer or employee desix-ing to authorize
deduc~i~ns from his or her salary or wages for the benefit of the
aforesaid organization shall file a written authorization with the
City Auditor. Such authorization shall state the amount or amounts
which are authorized to be deducted monthly from the salary or wages of the
officer or employee so authorizing said deduction. Such written auth-
orization shall be filed with the City Auditor not later than five (5)
days prior to the expiration of the pay period, from the salary or
wages for which the first deduction so authorized is to be made~
SECTICN 3.
That Section ~ of Ordinance No. 891, New Series· of the City
of Bakersfield be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:

to recognize and act upon authorizations f.or salary or wage deductions
