BE. IT ORDAINED by the Council. of the City,.of Bakersfield, as
follows:
SECTION 1.
That subdivision (b) Of Section 2 of 0rdinance.N~'~ 723, New
Series of' the Oity of Bakersfield be, and the same is hereby amended
to read as follows:
(b) Members 'of the Board shall be .appointed by the Council
to.serve for a period of four years, or until their successors shall
take office, except as hereinafter provided in Paragraphs. (1) and
(2)' of this subaivision.
(1)- .Upon the termination 'of the term of office o~ members
· -app®inted in 1956' to serve until 1959, the Council shall appoint
two membe.~s-for a term ending 0ctobe~ 1, 1961.
· .. (2) Upon the termination of the teI~ of office of members
appointed in 1956 to serve until 1.960, the Council shall appoint
two members for'.a term of fouP yea~s, and two membePs for a tez~n
of three yea~,s.
SECTION 2.
This o~dinance shall take effect thiPty days f~om and after
the date of its passage.
