Except as herein othe:-wise provided.~ that certain document in book fo.vm~ anal. tied "Uniform Plu~mbing Code~ 195§ Edition~' adopted by the b'este?n Plt~mbing Officials Association at t~ Twen'ty~eighth Annual Conference~ September.~ 1957~ to&~the~ with insertions therein written (including all publications the~,?ein incorporated by reference)~ three copies of which have heretofore been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield for use and er, amination by the public~ is D~reby adopted and enacted as the Plumbing Code of the City of Bake~?sfield~ for the p~zvposes stated therei~ with the exceptions and subject to t_b.~ amendments and deletions of the p~ovisions, tt~ereof as hereinafte~ in this ordinance provided° SECTION 2o Sections lol, 1o2~ 1o3~, 1o7~ lolO~ and subsection l0 of 1o4o and all o£ Part 2~ consisting of Sections 2ol to 2o11~ both inclusive~ of the 19~8 Uniform Plumbing Code are hereby deletodo SECTION 3. Section 609 of said Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby amended to re ad as follows: Section 609° (a) Water which has been used as a cooling me¢lium in any coole~ appliance~ devico or other apparatus~ shall not be co:m~scted to the drainage system on the premises where..s, aid .co.oler~ appliance o c~.:~.. vice or other, apparatus is .located a.,_.~d used~ nor shall said water.~ be in ant' manner discharged into tl'~ sa~-mita~y sewer system of the City of Bakemsfield~ provided~ howeve~?s that water which has been used as a cooling medium in any coole~,~ appliances device or other apparatus, must be. disposed of in a manner approved by the Chief Duilding Inspectcr c,f the City of Bakorsfieldo (b) All connections heretofo.~e made or ey, tsting at tho time as ~,~ntto~d in t~s section, of t~ effective date of this ordinan9$~ shall be disco~cted from the sanitary sewer system of the City of Bakersfield and tPm discharge of water *rom the coo!ers~ app!iance'~ dev%ces~ and othe~ apparatus herein mentioned~ shall be effected in a manner approved by the Chief B~lding Inspector, SECTION ~ ~ere is hereby added to said Uniform Plumbing Code a ne?r section to be numbered Section 609.01~ which said .section shall as follows: Section 609~1~ (a) All swimming pools in the.
