THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, AND REPEALIWG EMER- -"'"~
GENCY ORDINANCE NO. 1248, NEW SERIES AND E~ER-
GENCY
v'-.~ANCE NO.. 1157, NEW SERIES OF SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, an emergency exists, making it necessary to. provide
for the daily operation.of a municipal depaPtment.
NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT ORDAINED by the Counc'il of the City
of Bakersfield, as. follows: -.
SECTION 1.
That Section 2 of Emergency Ordinance No. 1093, New Series
of the City of Bakersfield be and the same is hereby amended to read.

(a) Transit Authority employees who a~e placed in the follow-
ing classifications, shall receive the hourly rates of compensation
.respectively, as'follows:

SECTION 2.
That 0rdinance~ No~. 1157 and 1248, both New Series. of the
City of Bakersfield, be and the same are hereby repealed,'
SECTION 3.
'-.-- This ordinance.is hereby declared to be-an emergency measure
within'the meaning, of Section 24 of the Charter of the City of Bakers-
field, State of California, and necessary to provide for the daily
operation of a municipal department, and shall be effective on and
· after-the 16th day of September, 1959.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Emergency Ordinance was "-
