ORDINANCE N0o 582, NEW SERIES OF

BY INCLUDING A NEW STREET .IN THE
- SYSTEM OF MAJOR CITY STREETS.
WHERE'AS~ the City Council hereby declares that an emergency
exists for the immediate preservation o~"'the public health, property
and safety, which requires the pass~t~g of an emergency ordinance to
amend Emergency Ordinance No. 582, New Series, by including a new
street in the system of major streets.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1o~'
That Emergency Ordinance No. 582, New Series, of the City
of Bakersfield be .aDd the same is ..hereby amended by including a new
street in the system of major city streets, to be numbered 46, as
follows:
46° All that portion of Beale Avenue between Monte~:&y Street
and Bernard Street, lying within the corporate limits of the City
of Bakersfield.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure
within the meaning of Section 24 of the Charter of the City of Bakers-
field, State of California, and necessary for the immediate preserva-
tion of ~he public health, property and safety, and shall take effect
immediately upon its passage°

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Emergency Ordinance
was passed and adopted 'by the Council of the City of Bakersfield,
at a regular meeting thereof hold on the 14th day of March, 1960,
by the following votes:
