AN ORDINANCE 'AMENDING SECTION 3.01 (Z0N~NG
MAP) OF ORDINANCE NO. 1010, NEW SERIES OF
THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, BY CHANGING THE
ZONING OF CERTAIN PRORERTY IN SATD CITY.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the
provisions of zoning Ordinance No. 1010, New Series of the-City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held hear-
ings respectively, on a' petition to change the zoning of certain
property within said City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due' considera-
tion of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning 0ommis-
sion herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearings
for a change ¢.f zoning of said property, that said zoning change should
be authorized.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAEERSFIELD, as follows:
~ECT ION 1.
That .~$ection 3.~ (Zoning Map) of Zoning Ordinance No. 1010,
New Series of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amend-
ed by changing the zoning of certain property in said City, the bound-
a~tes of which property are shown on the map hereto attached and made
a part of this ordinance, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-1 (One-Family
Dwelling) Zone to an R-4-D (Multiple-Family-Dwelling --
Architectural Design) Zone of that certain property
located Easterly of Eton Street and Northerly of Crest
Drive, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwesterly corner of Tract No. 2174,
as per map recorded December 10, 1958, in Map Book 10,
...... Page. 81, in the office of the County Recorder, Country of_
Kern, State of California; thence Northerly along the
Easterly line of Eton Street a distance of 313 feet;
'thence Westerly a distance of 30 feet to a point on the
intersection of the centerline, of Eton Street with the
cente~line of Church Avenue, as said streets are designat-
ed' and delineated on the map of Tract No. 2096 recorded
August 21~ 1958, in Map Book 10, Page 38, in the 9ffice
of the Ceunty Recorder, County of Kern, State of Calif-
ornia; thence Northerly along the West line of the North-
east Quarter (NE 1/4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4)
of Section 15, T 29 S, R 28 E, M.D.B.&M., a distance
of 463 feet; thence Easterly and parallel with the
Northerly line of Section 15 a distance of 500 feet;
thence Southerly and parallel with the West line of
tb~ Northeast Quarter (NE 1./~) of the Northwest Quarter
(NW 1/4) of said Section 15 a distance of 561 feet to
a point on' the Northerly line of said Tract No. 2174;
thence Westerly along the Northerly line' of said Tract
No. 2174 a distance of 442 feet to the point of begin- .~-~
ing.
SECTION 2 ·
This ~rdinance shall take effect thirty days from and after
_the date of its passage.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at a reguls~
meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of May, 1960, by the following
vote:
