AN ORDINANCE ~~fDING SECTION 3o01 (ZONING
MAP) OF ORDINANCE NO. 1010, NEW SERIES OF
T~E~ CITY OF BAI..~ERSFIELD, BY C~L~NG[NG THE
Z0-~.JING OF CERT.~IN PROPERTIES IN SA]~D CITY.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the
provisions of Zoning Ordinance No. 1010, New Series of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning CoB~mission and City Council have hel~ hear-
ings respectively~ on a motion of the Planning Commission to change
the zoning of certain properties within sai5 City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after ~ue considera-
tion of said mc. tion and the recommendation of the Planning Commission
on file herein, together with the reasons advanced at the hearings
for a change of zoning of sai~ properties, that said zoning change
should be authorizeS.
.NOW, TREREFOP~, BE ET 0RD.&IReD by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 3.01 (Zoning Map) of Zoning 0r~inance No. 1010s
New Series of t'he City of Bskersfield, be and the same is hereby amend-
ed by changing the zoning of certain properties in said City, the
bounSaries of which properties are shown on the map hereto attached
an8 made a pa~t of this orSinance, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an M-1 (Light
Manufacturing) Zone to a C-2 (Commercial) Zone of
that certain property in the City of Bakersfield
located Northerly of 17th Street, Southerly of 24th
Street, Easterly of Chester .~.venue and ~festerly of
"Q" Street, being more particularly 8esc~ibed as
follows .~
All of Blocks 147, 148, 1[!.9, l~0J, 1~2~ Lots I - 10,
inclusive, Block 1~3; Lots I - 10, inclusive, Block
166; all of Blocks 167, 168, 169, 170, ltl, 172, 187,
190, 19]., and 192; Lots l, 2, ? and 8, Block 19~;
Lots i and 2, Block 206; Lots I - 4, inclusive,Block
208; all of Blocks 209, 212, 22?, 228 and 229; Lots
1 - 44~ inclusive, Block 2~0; all of Block 250; Lots
I - inclusive, Block 269, City of Bakersfield, as
per map recorded Novombcr 25, 1898, in Map Book l,
Pages 13 and 14, in the office of the County Recorder,
County of Kern, State of California; and
All of Block A, Hudnut Tract, as per map recorded May
22, 1888, in Map Book l, Page 23, in the office of the
County Recorder, County of Kern, State of California;
and
All of Blocks Y and Z, Baker Homestead, as per map re-
corded February 12, 1901, in Map Book l, Page 34, in
the office of the County Recorder, County of Kern, State
of California; and
All of Blocks 251 and 2~2; Lots I - 2, inclusive, Block
267; and Lots I - 12~ Block 268~ Miller & Lux Subdivision
No. 1., as per map recorded September 22, 1920, in Map
Book 3, Page ~l, in thc office of the County Recorder~
County of Kern, Stato of California~
