AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020
OF CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held hear-
ings respectively, on the motion of the Planning Commission to change
the zoning of certain properties within said City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due considera-
tion of said motion and the recommendations of the Planning Commission
herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearings
for a change of zoning of said properties, that said zoning changes
should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION lo
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of
the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is
hereby amended by changing the zoning of certain properties in said
City, the boundaries of which properties are shown on the maps hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning from an R-4 (Multiple-Family
Dwelling) Zone to a C.0.Do (Professional Office -
Architectural Design) Zone of that certain property
located on both sides of Tru×tun Avenue between
"S" and "V" Streets, being more particularly des-
ct:[bed as follows:
Lots 5-8, inclusive, Block 295, City of Bakersfield,
as per map recorded November 25, 1898, in Map Book l,
...... pages 13 and 14, in the office of the County Recorder,
County of Kern, State of California; and Lots 16-30,
inclusive, Block 6; Lots 1-6, inclusive, Block 7;
Lots 1-6, inclusive, Block 8; and Lots 1-6, Block 9;
all in the Kruse Tract, as per map recorded August 3,
1911, in Map Book 2, page 30, in the office of the
County Recorder, County of Kern, State of California.
Changing the zoning from a C-1 (Limited Commercial)
Zone to a C-i--D (Limited Commercial,Architectural
Design) Zone of that certain property located on the
Southerly side of Truxtun Avenue between "Q" and "S"
Streets, being more particularly described as:
Lots 1-4, inclusive, Block 306; and. Lots 1-4, Block 305,
City of Bakersfield, as per map recorded November 25,
1898, in Map Book l, pages 13 and l~, in the office
of the County Recorder, County of Kern, State of Cali-
f ornia o
Changing the zoning from a C-2 (Con~nercial) Zone to
an M-1 (Light Manuf.acturing) Zone of that certain ·
property located on the southwesterly corner of Shady
Lane and Union Avenue, being more particularly des-
cribed as:
Lots 15 and 16, Block 10, Kruse Tract, City of Bakers-
field, as per map recorded August 3, 1911, in Map
Book 2, page 30, in the office of the County Recorder,
County of Kern, State of California.
Chang~'ng the zoning boundaries from an M-1 (Light
Manufacturing) Zone to a C-2-D (Commercial -Architec-
tural Design) Zone of that certain property located
on the Northerly side of Truxtun Avenue Easterly of
"Q" Street, being more particularly described as:
The Southerly one-half (1/2) of Blocks 293 and 294,
Cit~ of Bakersfield, as per map recorded November 25,
189U, in Map Book l, pages 1S and 14, in the office
of the County Recorder, County of Kern, State of
California.
Changing the zoning boundaries from an M-1 (Light
Manufacturing) Zone to a C-2 (Commercial) Zone of
that certain property located on the Southerly side
of 17th Street Easterly of "Q" Street, being more
particularly described as:
The Northerly one-half (1/2) of Bloc~ 293 and 294,
City of Bakersfield, as per map recorded November 25,
1898, in Map Book l, pages 13 and 14, in the office
of the County Recorder, County of Kern, State of Cali-
f ornia.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
~and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 31st day of October, 1960, by the
following vote:
