BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as
follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 8.72.040 of Chapter 8.72 of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield be and the same is hereby amended, by
adding thereto a new Part to be designated as (f) (6), as follows:
Whenever any real property served by the City Sewer System
under a sewer rental contract is within a territory where annexation
proceedings have commenced the City Engineer shall be authorized, in
his discretion, to collect sewer rental charges on a quarterly basis.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at a regular
meeting thereof held on the lgth day of December, 1960., by the
