AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020
OF CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the
provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakers-
field, the Planning Commission and City Council have held hearings
respectively, on a petition to change the zoning of certain property
within said City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due consider-
ation of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the
hearings for a change of zoning of said properties, that said zoning
changes should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of the
Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby
amended by changing the zoning of certain properties in said City,
the boundaries of which properties are shown on the maps hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Qhanging the zoning from a C-1 (Limited Commercial) Zone
to an M-1 (Light Manufacturing) Zone on the following
described property:
That certain property lying Westerly of Chester Avenue
and Northerly of Golden State Avenue, being more par-
ticularly described as Lots 1 - 5, inclusive, and Lots
17 - 32, inclusive, Block 4, Tract 1009, City of Bakers-
field, as per map recorded March 25, 1940, in Map Book 4,
Page 182, in the office of the County Recorder, County of
Kern, State of California; and fractional Lots 9 and 10,
Block 576, City of Bakersfield, as per map recorded
November 25, 1898, in Map Book 1, Pages 13 and 14, in the
office of the County Recorder, County of Kern, State of
California; and that portion of abandoned 31st Street
adjacent to the Northerly line of Lot 10, Block 5?6, as
per Resolution of Intention #615 adopted by the Council
of the City of Bakersfield on October 22, 1934.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 28th day of November, 1960, by the following vote:
