AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020
OF CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OP THE CITY OP BAKERSPIELD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the
provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakers-
field, the Planning Commission and City Council have held hearings
respectively, on a petition to change the zoning of certain property
within sai~ Cit~, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due consider-
ation of said petition and. the recommendations of the Planning Commission
herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearings
for a change of zoning of said properties, that said zoning changes
should be authorized.
NOW, THFREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of the
Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby
amended by changing the zoning of certain properties in said City,
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning from a C-1 (Limited Commercial) Zone
to a C-2-D (Commercial) Zone of the following described
property:
That certain property located on the Westerly side of South
Chester lying Southerly of Dorian Drive, being more par-
ticularly described as Ail of lots 123, 124, 125 and 126
and the Southerly five (5) feet of Lot 122, Tract No. 1541,
City of Bakersfield, as per map recorded June 22, 1950, in
Map Book 7, Page 97, in the office of the County Recorder,
County of Kern, State of California; and that certain
property on the Westerly side of South Chester Avenue lying
Southerly of Sandra Drive, being more particularly described
as all of Lots 170 and 171, and that portion of Lots 172 and
173 described as follows: beginning at the Southwesterly
corner of Lot 172; thence Northerly along the Westerly
line of Lot 172 a distance of 46.6 feet; thence North
52° 24' 08" East a distance of 115.1 feet to a point on
the Easterly line of Lot 173; thence Southerly along
the Easterly line of Lots 173 and 172 a distance of
65.0 feet to the Southeasterly corner of Lot 172; thence
Westerly along the Southerly line of Lot 172 a distance
of 113.6 feet to the point of beginning as per map of
Tract No. 1621, City of Bakersfield, recorded on December
23, 1953, in Map Book 8, Page 98, in the office of the
County Recorder, County of Kern, State of California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 28th day of November, 1960, by the following vote:
