;~H.~R~tS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield did, on the
3rd day of April, 1961, pass a Resolution being No. 36-61, in comb
plianee with the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory
Act of 1939t and amendment~ theretot being Title ~, Division 2t Part 2,
Chapter It Article 5 of the Gov®~nment Code of ~ho State of California,
specifically describing the boundaries of the t~r:itory s.o proposed
to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield, and designating such territory
by an appropriate na~e, and ~etting ~onday, the 8th day of May, 1961,
at the hour of e~ght o~cloc~ ?. M.t in the Council Chambers of the City
Hall, 1501Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, Californta~ as the day, hour
and place when and where the City Council would hear protests made by
any person ownin9 real property within the aforesaid territory, and
WH~F. AS, said Resolution was published at least twice, but not
oftener than once a week in The Bakersfield Californiant a newspaper
of general circulation published in the City of Bakersfield, said
publication having been completed at least twenty days prior to the
date set for said hearing~ ~n compliance with Section 35~11 of the
6overnment Code, and

SECTION 2.
