AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIk~.D.
WHEREAS, in accordance w~h the procedure set forth in the pro-
visions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield,
the Planning Comm~ssion and City Council have held hearings re-
spectively, on a petition to change t/~e zoning of certain property
w~thin said City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due consider-
ation of said petition and the reco.,~,..endations of the Planning
Co.,...utssion herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the
hearings for a change of zoning of said properties, that said zoning
changes should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of the
Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby
amended by changing the zoning of certain properties in said City,
the boundaries of which properties are shown on the m~ps hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning from an R-1 (One-Family Dwelling) Zone
to an R-3-D (Limited Multiple-Family Dwelling -- Architectural
Design) Zone on the following described property:
That certain property located on' the Westerly side of Oswell
Street between University Avenue and the extension of
Christmas Tree Lane, being mere particularly described as
that portion of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast
Quarter of Section 15 and the Southwest Quarter of the North-
west Quarter of Section 14, T 29 S, R 28 E, M.D.B. & M.,
City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California,
co ...... ranting at the East 1/4 corner of Section 15, thence
S 89° 31' 53" W 169.25 feet; thence N 0° 28' 07" W 45 feet;
thence N 01° 26' 30" E 332.428 feet; thence N 29° 31' 53"
E 906.782 feet to the center line of Christ=nas Tree Lane
extended; thence S 60° 28' 07" E 247.343 feet to the
center line of Oswell Street extended; thence S 29° 31'
53" W 969.046 feet to the East line of Section 15;
thence S 0° 01' 24" F. 224.522 feet to the point of
beginning.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 5ch day of September, 1961, by the following vote:
