AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEKEAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the pro-
visions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield,
the Planning Co-..,~[ssion and City Council have held hearings re-
spectively, on a petition to change the zoning of certain property
within said City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due consider-
ation of said petition and the reco~.~endations of the Planning
Co~,ission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the
hearings for a change of zoning of said properties, that said zoning
changes should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of the
Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby
amended by changing the zoning of certain properties in said City,
the boundaries of which properties are shown on the maps hereto
attached and made a part hereof~ as follows:
Changing the zoning from an R-4 (Multiple-Family Dwelling)
Zone to a C-O-D (Professional Office -- Architectural
Design) Zone of the following described property:
That certain property located on the Westerly side of Union'
Avenue between the Westerly prolongations of Montrose Street
and Thelma Drive, being more particularly described as Lots
37 through 63 inclusive, Tract 2146, City of Bakersfield,
as per map recorded July 16, 1958, in Map Book 10, Pages
27 and 28, in the office of the County Recorder, County of
Kern,. State of California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 2?th day of November, 1961, by the following vote:
Council of the City of Bakersfield.
