AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, in accordance w~th the procedure set forth in the
provisions of Title 17 of. the Municipal Code of the City of Bakers-
field, the Planning Co-~.4ssion and City Council have held hearings
respectively, on a petition to zone certain property now being
annexed to said City, and
WHEREAS. the City Council has determined after due consider-
ation of the petition and the recs,,,.,mndation of the Planning Co~,,~,~ssion,
herein on file, together w~th the reasons advanced at the hearing for
the zoning of said property, that said zoning should be authorized
upon annexation of said property to the Ci~yo
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of the
Municipal .Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby
amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include certain
property in a C-1-D (Limited Commercial -- Architectural Design) Zone,
upon the annexation of said property to the City of Bakersfield, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described
as fo 1 lows'.
That certain property in the County of Kern located at
the Northwesterly corner of the intersection of Union
Avenue and Jeffrey Street being more particularly described
as a portion of .that certain 48.562 acre .parcel in the
Northeasterly 1/4 of the Northeasterly 1/4 of Section 19,
T 29 S, It 28 E, MoDoB. & M° conveyed to Gannon Construction
Company, Inc. by deed recorded in the office of the County
Recorder, County of Kern, S~ate of California, September 7,
1956, in Book 2660, page 268 being more particularly
described as follo~w.s: beginning the Northeast corner
of said Section 19, thence South ~13t 15" West along
the East line of saidoSection 19, a distance of 659.61
feet; thence North 89 ' 14t 40" West, 57.75 feet to the
· begin_~ing_'for this description; thence
true point of
cont~nuing Nor~ 89 14~ 40" West .a distance of 140 feet;
thence North 0 13~ '15" East, parallel with ~he Easterly
line of §aid Section 19, a.distance of 140 feet; thence
South 89 14~'40'' East a d~stance of 140 feet to the
Westerly line ~f Union AvenUe,ain' the City of Bakersfield;
thence South 0 13t 15" West, distance of 140 feet to
the true point of beginning.
SECTION
This ordinance shall become effective upon the annexation of
the above-described territory to the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 22nd day of January, 1962, by the following vote:
