AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020
OF CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
BY CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the
provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakers-
field, the Planning Co,,,,,,~ssion and City Council have held hearings
respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning of
certain property within said City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due consider-
ation of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that said
zoning change should be authorized°
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:

That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Hap) of the
Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is
hereby amended by changing the land use zoning of certain property
in said City, the boundaries of which property are shown on the
map hereto attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-3 (Limited
Multiple-Family Dwelling) Zone and a C-1 (Limited Com-
mercial) Zone to a C-2-D (Commercial -- Architectural
Design) Zone on that certain property located on the
Easterly side of Oak Street between Palm Street and
Oak Place, being more particularly described as follows:
Lot 4, Block B, Greene's Tract, City of Bakersfield,
as per Hap recorded November 9, 1905, in Hap Book 1,
Page 97, in the office of the County Recorder, County
of Kern, State of California;
Lots 1- 4 inclusive, Block 8, Palm Tract, City of
Bakersfield, as per Hap recorded April 5, 1922, in
Hap Book 3, Page 58, in the office of the County
Recorder, County of Kern, State of California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the following Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of April, 1962, by the
following vote:
