AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION ? .14.201 TO THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
REGULATING THE COLOR AND DECORATION OF MOTOR
VEHICLES USED BY PRIVATE PATROL OPERATORS
WITHIN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
that Section ?.14.201 be and the same is hereby added to the
Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield to read as follows:
7.14.201 It shall be unlawful for any private patrol
9perator to paint any vehicle used in his operation with such a
color scheme that is similar in design or color of vehicles used
by the Bakersfield Police DeparUnent, the California Highway Patrol,
or the Kern County Sheriff's Depart~uent. No painted badges, stars
or decalcomania of badges, stars or other insignia will be
affixed on such vehicles used by a private patrol operator unless
such badges, stars or insigniahave first been approved by the
Chief of Police.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting
