AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Co~,.-ission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to zone certain property now
being annexed to said City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of the petition and the reco,-,.endation of the Planning
COLL..-~SSiOn, herein on file, to§ether with the reasons advanced at
the hearing for the zoning of said property to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of
the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is
hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include
certain property in an R-3 (Limited Multiple-Family Dwellin§) Zone,
upon the annexation of said property to the City of Bakersfield, the
boundaries of which pro.perry are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described '
as follows: ·
That certain property lying in the Northeast % of
Southeast % of Section 1, T 30 S, R 27 E, M.D.B.&M, as
per Kern County Sales Map No. 1 of lands of J. B. Haggin
recorded May 3, 1889, in the Office of the County Recorder,
County of Kern, State of California, beginning at the
Easterly quarter corner of said Section 1, thence Southerly
30 feet along the Easterly line .of Section 1, thence
Westerly 155 feet to the true point of beginning; thence '"']~
continuing Westerly 166.33 feet; thence Southerly 135
feet thence Easterly 166.33 feet; thence Southerly
135 feet; thence Easterl~ 125 feet; thence Northerly
150 feet; thence Westerly 125 feet; thence Northerly
135 feet to the true point of beginning.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective upon the annexation
of the above-described territory to the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY 'CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day of September, 1962,
by the following vote:
